All you ever wanted to know about the Logic control & EQulizers in walkmans
Hi everyone, The feather touch feature and equalizers have always captivated me, especially on my very first Walkman, the Aiwa HS-G08. I will discuss EQualizers and IQ-Logic control in this article.
People like food and music because they are two of life's essentials. They are essential to people's lives. We all enjoy eating; some prefer simple meals, while others prefer gourmet fare. However, the majority of us are definitely unable to consume food that is prepared simply or in a natural way. As a result, we all enjoy seasoning our food. For the most pleasurable experience, we add a pinch of pepper here and a dash of salt there.
Gourmet food and hi-fidelity are very similar. Clarity is one of the components of Hi-Fi sound, but it is insufficient on its own. We also need the bass, the beating heart of the music! The music will sound flat without the bass, lacking any drama, excitement, or presence. When the bass is set just right, the music will come to life, and you will feel its presence. Imagine it as enjoying a peaceful meal with a fine bottle of wine or a nice beer.
With a good hi-fi system, you will get the perfect combination of heart and soul. The majority of people season their food with salt (the highs), while others prefer to use pepper (the Bass). The majority of hi-fi systems have a "treble" dial for highs and a "bass" dial for lows. However, some individuals need more spices in their food, such as in their music. Thus, a graphic equalizer will be used.

The World of Personal Stereo Hi-End Heads
~~~~~~~~~~
Greetings, everyone. :-)
I was perplexed by how AIWA presented their heads. I frequently came across definitions such as "Amorphous Head," "HX Head," "Narrow Gap Head," and so forth. Therefore, I've decided to resolve this technical puzzle and share the answers with anyone who might be interested because it's very confusing.
Tape heads are the main sound element in every tape deck or portable stereo. The head has to have the capability of reproducing a wide range of frequency responses in the sound spectrum. It is then up to the amplifier to translate and replicate the sound quality. A high-quality head needs to be durable enough to last a long lifespan of use.
As long as you used high-quality tapes, good ferrite heads used to last a very long time. For instance, low-quality ferric oxide tapes are one of the most likely types to do damage to your head. Unlike most other head materials, ferrite is a ceramic material that has a high permeability, but it is comparable to the majority of other head materials.
AKAI had special ferrite heads. They called these "glass" and "crystal" ferrite heads. Meaning, the housing of these heads was made out of glass, but they had ferrite cores laminated into them, making them highly durable.
IS IT All in Your Headphones?
Greetings to all,
Many times I have read about Walkman enthusiasts who complain about high-quality players that sound poor or are not what they expected. So I have decided to try to combine some tips and advice for those members who are not familiar with the world of Hi-Fi and Walkmans or personal stereos. Here goes:
So, when was the last time you were excited by a piece of music? Whether it was at a concert hall, a theater, or your home system, surely the reason for that was the Hi-Fi source that the music was played on. Nothing can be more exciting than a clean and accurate frequency response of a good hi-fi system. We are not just satisfied with hearing music; we want to experience it too. The ability to experience pleasure from listening to music appears to be linked with the quality of reproduction. This, in turn, is linked with the ability to hear more of the music in greater detail. It is this pursuit of excellence that drives the quest for Hi-Fi, to make the experience of music exhilarating!
Is it all in your headphones? - Part two
CROSSFEED
Since the release of the Walkman in 1979, modern headphones have been particularly widely sold and used for listening to stereo recordings. There is subjective debate regarding the nature of their reproduction of stereo sound. Stereo recordings represent the position of horizontal depth cues via volume and phase differences of the sound in question between the two channels (known as stereo separation). When the sounds from two speakers mix, they create the phase difference the brain uses to locate direction. (See illustrations.)
Great web page; thank you for showing it and well done!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much and Enjoy!
DeleteI bought a seq-50 in the 1980s; it was expensive. My one was silver. The sound quality was good, but it used up AA batteries quickly.
ReplyDeleteI had te Panasonic RQ-SA78. It was '87 model, however I bought it in '91. Its sound was outstanding in my opinion. I loved it. I still have it in the bottom of a drawer somewhere.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the RQ-SA78 was a budget player but sounded great, too bad he was too bulky. :-(
DeleteThanks for visiting.
