The HS-J101A and the HS-J700A are rechargeable versions, supplied with the PB-1 Ultra-thin rechargeable battery and the AC-200 AC adaptor/battery charger.

Full recharging takes only one hour for two hours of playback. Recharging during playback is also possible. And both the AC-200 and the PB-1 are also available separately.

KENWOOD CP-700 an OEM Version of HS-J10

Some Facts:

*The J10 is an improved version of built 2ME-7 Type Y, which is the predecessor HS-J9 (J09/J600). they are both using the same gear. However, the J10 has a much stronger gear. The parts, including the Capacitors, are of high quality - not the cheap parts Aiwa has used since 1988-89. it is very unlikely to find inside the J10 leaking caps even after many years.

*The switches on the J10 are enforced with plastic rails hardened enough to prevent them from falling off, therefore it is very rare to find a second-hand unit without switches (unless the previous owner used them for parts).

*On the predecessor (J9) direction indicators were just cheap red stickers and the FFwd and Rewind were analog. Even the tuner was an old-school wire wheel. but on the improved J10, the direction indicators and the tuner evolved to LEDs. the tuner became semi-digital and the FF/Rew/Manual reverse evolved to logic control.
