The music never stops, because when one tape side finishes, the other is played automatically.
Choose continuous or one-cycle auto-reverse operation. Plus, manual reverse at any time requires just a single touch.
Feather-Touch Control with music sensor
The FF, Rew, Play/Direction, Rec, and Stop modes are all operated with IC full-logic feather-touch controls. And during playback, the Music Sensor function automatically finds and plays the next song, or restarts the song in play, with a single touch.
Just like component cassette decks,

I question the release date on this, as I had one of these in my senior year of high school in the US and graduated in June of '84. Purchased initially through Sharper Image, not retail, if that makes any difference?
ReplyDeleteHad one of these in '84 in the US; unsure if it was J08 or J500. Purchased through Sharper Image. I know it was '84 as I had it in High School and I graduated in June of that year.
ReplyDeleteHi, The earliest date on this unit is May 85' as it appears on the US Catalog which I have. However, the catalog was titled 1984~85' because it included units from 84'. The first Japanese sales catalog was dated: June 85', while the Service manual is dated May 1985 a month back. Thanks for visiting.
